Labor and delivery

Just as every baby is unique, so is every delivery. As your trusted care partner, we work to provide a personalized birthing experience that begins long before your first contraction and continues well after delivery.

High-risk pregnancy care

Our maternal-fetal medicine team offers a wide array of diagnostic tests and services for high-risk pregnancies. A pregnancy is considered high risk when there are potential complications that could affect the mother and/or baby.

For some women, preexisting health conditions, such as high blood pressure, can make a pregnancy high risk from the start. However, unforeseen conditions can also arise in otherwise routine pregnancies. That is why our team is here to help ensure the best outcome for you and your baby.

To learn more about our high-risk pregnancy services, please call our women's services at (855) 849-3365.

Help getting pregnant

We understand conception looks different for everyone. If you are looking for infertility services, we offer a wide range of options for men and women. (Men's infertility services are available through our urological care program.) We are able to support you throughout your journey to parenthood—from preconception through labor and delivery.

Our labor and delivery unit is located on the first floor of the Women's Pavilion. Pelvic floor physical therapy

Pregnancy and childbirth can cause your pelvic floor muscles to weaken, which can sometimes lead to bladder control problems and other pelvic floor disorders. To help women experiencing pelvic floor conditions, we provide pelvic floor physical therapy. Our physical therapists will work with you to personalize a therapy plan to ease and/or resolve your symptoms.

Postpartum depression services

It is not uncommon for women to experience temporary mood disorders after giving birth. However, if you have been experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety for more than two weeks, or if the symptoms are interfering with your daily activities, it is important to seek help. It is likely that you have postpartum depression, in this case, and our specialists are standing by 24/7 to provide postpartum depression evaluations and support.

Our mental health specialists are available 24/7. To speak to one of our specialists about postpartum depression, please call (801) 268-7438.

If you are unable to care for your newborn, you can give up custody anonymously at any hospital in Utah, including ours, which is a Utah Newborn Safe Haven. Along with Utah Newborn Safe Haven, we are here to help.
