Helpful Hints On How To Register

Insurance
We accept most HMO/PPO insurance plans, most types of Medicaid and all Medicare patients. St. Mark's Hospital is NOT an IHC facility; we are a MountainStar Healthcare facility. Check our list of accepted health insurance plans here. If you have questions about your coverage at our facility, please call your insurance company. The phone number should be listed on your insurance card.

Deposits / Copayments
Patient copayments and deposit amounts are determined by your insurance company and based on specific plan benefits. For most services, the copayment will be listed on your insurance card. Copayments and patient portions are due at the time of service.

Self-pay patients without insurance are required to make a deposit for treatment. Outpatient services require a $25 deposit and Emergency Department services require a $110 deposit.

Prior Authorization
Authorization is a requirement of many insurance companies and will vary based on the procedure. St. Mark's Hospital will obtain authorization on all inpatient accounts. For outpatient encounters, the patient should have their authorization number when they arrive for the service. Your physician's office can assist you with pre-authorization.

Pre-Registration
Pre-registration should be completed prior to the date of service in order to expedite the check-in process. General demographic and health insurance information is required to complete this process. Refer to specific healthcare service to obtain more pre-registration information.
