Inpatient behavioral health care in Utah County
The Pavilion at Mountain View Hospital - Payson is our behavioral health care department. It's a safe, calm environment in which patients can receive short-term, comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care.

Our behavioral health services include inpatient mental health care, as well as alcohol and chemical treatment.
Inpatient mental health and wellness program
Our inpatient program is designed to meet the emotional and psychological needs of adults ages 18 to 55 years old. We treat both common and complex mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and dementia.
Provided by multidisciplinary treatment teams of physicians, psychiatrists, therapists and technicians, our services include:
- Psychiatric assessments, including cognitive and functional decline
- Diagnostic testing, as needed
- Family education
- Individual and group therapy
- Individualized treatment planning
- Medication management
- Support and assistance with discharge planning
Alcohol and Chemical Treatment (ACT)
The ACT at Mountain View Hospital is a short-term comprehensive substance abuse detoxification program which addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of adults ages 18 to 55. The ACT is a dual diagnosis program where both addiction and mental health can be addressed and treated.
Our medical detoxification service provides a safe place with 24/7 monitoring to treat the dangerous symptoms of withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol. Patients typically detox within 3-5 days. Our professional and compassionate staff work closely with patients, their family, and caregivers to develop an individualized treatment plan. The combination and severity of symptoms from an individual’s illness, compared against the normal context of their life, determines the services required.
