Joint care
Often, your lifestyle, livelihood and recreational choices depend on strong, flexible joints that allow you to move without pain. However, joint pain caused by injury, disease or aging can begin to take away some of the activities you once enjoyed.
If you are someone who lives with chronic joint pain, our specialists are here to help. Through our joint care program, we provide access to joint pain treatments, including arthritis treatments, to restore your joint health and quality of life.
Joint replacement surgery
If the damage to your joint is severe, your orthopedic surgeon may suggest a joint replacement. A joint replacement is a surgical procedure to replace any damaged parts of your joint with artificial components (prostheses). The artificial implant creates a like-new joint, allowing your joint to glide and move smoothly and easily.
Our orthopedic surgeons perform:
- Total and partial elbow replacements
- Total and partial hip replacements
- Total and partial knee replacements
- Total, partial and reverse shoulder replacements
If your surgeon recommends joint replacement, our hospitals provide comprehensive, personalized care and support for you throughout the surgical process. We also offer therapy services to help you get moving after surgery, promoting a healthy recovery.
Robotic knee and hip replacement surgery
At MountainStar Healthcare, we strive to bring innovative orthopedic treatments to our patients. One example of this is our use of robot-assisted surgical technology for total hip, total knee and partial knee replacement surgeries.
The robotic technology provides your orthopedic surgeon with a personalized surgical plan based on your unique anatomy. Specifically, it uses imaging scans of your joint to create a 3D model of your hip or knee. Your surgeon uses this 3D model preplan and assist your surgeon in performing your procedure.
Limb preservation
Complex orthopedic conditions can sometimes put a patient at risk of losing a limb. That is why we have assembled a multidisciplinary team of experts, including infectious disease specialists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons and oncologists, dedicated to limb preservation. These specialists work together to provide you with comprehensive preventive care and treatment.

Through orthopedic rehabilitation, our therapy team works with you and your doctor to develop a personalized treatment plan to help you gain strength, mobility and function.
