Pediatric orthopedics
Pediatric orthopedists are doctors who specialize in joint problems in infants, children and adolescents. They diagnose and treat injuries and conditions of the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, joints and limbs. Common reasons to see them include broken bones, fractures, knee or hip injuries and scoliosis.

Comprehensive pediatric orthopedics
Our pediatric orthopedics program is an extension of our pediatric care and orthopedic care services. As part of it, we have also assembled a specially trained pediatric orthopedic care team. They treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions in children, partnering with physical therapists and physicians from other pediatric specialties, when necessary. This ensures we can provide the type of care that is right for your child.
Pediatric orthopedic emergency care
When your child has an orthopedic emergency, such as a broken arm, the teams in our emergency rooms (ER) provide fast, expert care. Our ERs are kid-friendly, meaning our ER doctors and nurses are specially equipped and trained to care for children's medical emergencies.
Pediatric orthopedic diagnostics
Whether your child needs treatment for an orthopedic emergency or a chronic disorder, we use advanced diagnostic imaging to confirm their diagnosis. If radiation is necessary for an imaging exam, such as an X-ray, we use the lowest effective dose of radiation possible to minimize your child's exposure.
Pediatric orthopedic surgery
If your child's pediatric orthopedic surgeon recommends surgery, we provide personalized care throughout the surgical experience. We are here to help you and your child prepare for the surgery as well as ease any anxieties they have.
On the day of their procedure, our team will do everything we can to help your little feel comfortable and at ease. We will keep you informed throughout the procedure and will reunite you with your child post-surgery as soon as possible.
Craniofacial surgery
We use a highly specialized, multidisciplinary team approach to care for children with craniofacial differences, such as craniosynostosis and cleft lip. Our pediatric orthopedic surgeons partner with you, your child and other pediatric specialists to deliver the comprehensive, effective care your child deserves.
Pediatric orthopedic rehabilitation
Physical therapy and rehabilitation may be prescribed as a treatment for your child's orthopedic condition or as rehabilitation after surgery. Our physical therapists take time to get to know your child and their unique needs so they can develop a personalized therapy plan to help your child heal.
