Mountainstar Healthcare Hospitals Recognized for Excellence in Specialty Areas

Healthgrades recognizes five Utah hospitals

Salt Lake City, UT — Five hospitals in Utah’s MountainStar Healthcare network were recognized by Healthgrades for specialty excellence. Collectively, the hospitals earned three 2025 Specialty Excellence Awards and a total of 20 Five-Star ratings in specialty areas.

 As part of the Healthgrades recognition, Ogden Regional Medical Center was named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery™ for the second straight year (2024-2025), and as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery™ (2025). Payson’s Mountain View Hospital was named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery™ for the fifth consecutive year (2021-2025).

 Those hospitals also earned Specialty Excellence Awards for having results in the top 10% in their respective specialty areas. Both hospitals received the 2025 Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award™. Ogden Regional Medical Center also received the 2025 Coronary Intervention Excellence Award™.

 Additionally, five MountainStar hospitals received a total of 20 Five-Star specialty ratings: 

  • Six 5-Star ratings at Ogden Regional Medical Center: Coronary Interventional Procedures (2 years in a row, 2024-2025), Hip Fracture Treatment (4 years in a row, 2022-2025), Treatment for Sepsis (3 years in a row, 2023-2025), Treatment of Diabetic Emergencies (2 years in a row, 2024-2025), Spinal Fusion Surgery, and Carotid Surgery
  • Five 5-Star ratings at St. Mark’s Hospital: Pacemaker Procedures (4 years in a row, 2022-2025), Hip Fracture Treatment (4 years in a row, 2022-2025), Carotid Surgery (2 years in a row, 2024-2025), Gallbladder Removal Surgery (4 years in a row, 2022-2025), and Colorectal Surgeries
  • Four 5-Star ratings at Mountain View Hospital: Treatment of Heart Failure (2 years in a row), Total Knee Replacement (8 years in a row, 2018-2025), Treatment of Sepsis (7 years in a row, 2019-2025), and Hip Fracture Treatment
  • Three 5-Star ratings at Lakeview Hospital: Spinal Fusion Surgery (3 years in a row, 2023-2025), Gallbladder Removal Surgery (9 years in a row, 2017-2025), and Treatment of Sepsis (7 years in a row, 2019-2025)
  • Two 5-Star ratings at Timpanogos Regional Hospital: Treatment of Sepsis (5 years in a row, 2021-2025) and Treatment of Pneumonia
