Latest technology provides faster results

Our innovative system enables healthcare providers to get vital imaging results and information about your health faster, so that treatment for your medical concerns can happen even more quickly.

The imaging services performed at Lone Peak are obtained and managed by a fully-digital environment referred to as PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System). This advanced technology means your physician can access and view your digital images and test results from anywhere there is internet access - and usually within minutes of your diagnostic imaging procedure! Often, by the time you get home, your images have already been captured, read, and a report has been sent to your referring physician.

PACS also allows our Imaging & Radiology staff to manage patient images electronically, making images available to physicians when they need them, on every floor in the hospital, and to physician offices. Approved radiology reports are linked to the images in PACS, so that a radiologists' interpretation (reading) is available every time an exam in viewed.

Our services

The advanced imaging services at Lone Peak Hospital include:

Ultrasound

Utilizes high-frequency sound waves to display moving, 3D images of the inside of the body on a monitor.

3-D Mammography

Usually takes less time than traditional film-based exams, and there is a lower radiation dose required to produce images.

1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Can reveal medical conditions that are not easily diagnosed through an X-ray, ultrasound or computed tomography (CT) scan.

Nuclear Medicine - SPECT/CT Scan

Employs a powerful camera to generate crystal-clear images used to quickly detect and characterize cardiac disease.

Fluoroscopy

Obtains real-time, moving images of a patient's internal structures that can be recorded and played on a display monitor.

64-Slice /16-Slice CT Scanner

Faster procedure that decreases patient exposure to radiation and provides high-quality digital images of any organ and blood vessels in a few seconds.
