Emergency care

Our emergency medical services
Together, our teams of specialists offer complete emergency medical care, including:
Heart attack treatment
Before a patient who is having a heart attack even arrives at our hospital, our ER physicians and cardiologists can provide initial care thanks to a special machine in our ambulances: the 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG). This technology transmits a full view of the heart to the teams at our hospital, enabling them to quickly diagnose and prepare for your arrival. This streamlined process saves time and reduces the damage a heart attack can cause to your heart muscle.
Pediatric emergency care
Our kid-friendly ER and specially trained teams treat kids up to the age of 18. They have the right equipment to meet the unique needs of diagnosing and treating children.
Air ambulance on-site
Ogden Regional Medical Center is a home to AirCare, MountainStar Healthcare's air ambulance service. We collaborate with the local emergency medical services (EMS) providers to ensure patients have 24/7 access to specialized medical care.
Freestanding ER Locations
In addition to our main campus ER, we offer a full-service, freestanding ER locations—Pleasant View Emergency Center and Syracuse Emergency Center with the same level of high-quality care as our hospital ER, including imaging and diagnostic laboratory services.
Level II Trauma Center
As part of our ER, our Level II Trauma Center is committed to prevention, education and improved comprehensive trauma care. This designation is from the Utah Department of Health's Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness. It means our trauma teams and resources are high-quality and on-site 24/7. They are ready and able to stabilize and treat most types of traumatic injuries.

Orthopedic traumatology
We are also proud to offer orthopedic traumatology—a specialty service in which orthopedic trauma surgeons treat traumatic injuries to bones, joints, muscles and the surrounding soft tissues.
As part of the emergency and trauma team, these orthopedic traumatologists help determine and implement a treatment plan to increase the potential of restoring maximum function to the injured body part(s). This comprehensive plan begins as soon as the patient arrives at the trauma center and continues until the patient has recovered and returns to the highest quality of life possible.
