Treating foot and ankle conditions
Our orthopedic care program provides access to a wide range of treatments for foot and ankle injuries and disorders. Your orthopedic foot specialist will use a physical exam and possibly diagnostic imaging scans to diagnose your condition, which helps guide your treatment plan. From there, your doctor will then work with you to determine an effective treatment to resolve your pain, or other symptoms. Additionally, we will typically exhaust noninvasive and nonsurgical treatments before suggesting surgery.
Foot surgery
If a surgical procedure is necessary, our foot and ankle surgeons use minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as arthroscopy, whenever possible. Minimally invasive procedures typically allow for shorter hospital stays and quicker recoveries.
Ankle replacement surgery
Ankle replacement surgery may be an effective treatment for joint pain when noninvasive methods of care do not relieve your pain. During this procedure, your orthopedic surgeon replaces the damaged joint with an artificial joint called a prosthesis. The result is a healthy ankle joint that allows you to walk and bend your ankle without pain.
