Our labor and delivery services
From prenatal care through postpartum recovery, our labor and delivery team is here to provide personalized care for you and your baby.
Prenatal care
Our prenatal care program helps you prepare for your baby’s arrival while supporting your health throughout pregnancy. From your first appointment through delivery, our care team is here to answer your questions and help you build a birth plan that fits your needs.
If you have a high-risk pregnancy, we can coordinate care with maternal-fetal medicine specialists at our sister facility, Ogden Regional Medical Center, to provide complete care.

What to expect from our labor and delivery unit
We provide compassionate, patient-centered care for you and your baby. As part of our services, we strive to maintain low patient-to-nurse ratios to support close observation and attention.
Hospital tours
Our childbirth services team provides labor and delivery tours to help you learn what to expect and get familiar with our facility. The tour also provides an opportunity to ask our knowledgeable staff any questions you may have.

Labor and delivery suites and amenities
We offer a family-centered birthing experience that supports you and your loved ones throughout labor and delivery. Each of our spacious, private birthing suites is designed to promote comfort, safety and peace of mind during this special time.
Our birthing experience includes family presence during delivery, flexible visiting hours and comfortable in-room accommodations for a support person.
Our rooms offer a wide range of amenities, including:
- Advanced infant security
- Breast pumps
- Post-delivery celebratory meal
- State-of-the-art central fetal monitoring system
Unmedicated and assisted childbirth
Whether you plan for a vaginal birth or a cesarean delivery, we respect your choices and tailor care to you. Your safety is our top priority, and we support the laboring and delivery experience that feels right for you.
We offer a wide range of pain management options and comfort amenities, including 24-hour epidural coverage, aromatherapy, birthing balls, hot and cold therapy and hydrotherapy.
Neonatal intensive care (NICU)
Most babies do not need intensive care after birth. But if your baby needs extra support, our connection to MountainStar Healthcare helps make the next step easier. We can coordinate a transfer to a sister facility with a neonatal intensive care unit, where neonatal doctors, nurses and specialists provide around-the-clock care for premature and ill newborns.
Postpartum care
After your baby arrives, our care team continues to support you and your newborn with postpartum care that helps you recover, rest and bond with your baby. You’ll recover in a spacious, private room with space for your support person and your baby to stay at your bedside. When you need time to rest, nurses in our well-baby nursery can care for your newborn.
Our postpartum support services include:
- Breastfeeding support and education
- Circumcision education and services
- Hearing tests for newborns
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation
