Brigham City Community Hospital's ER has earned the American College of Cardiology's Chest Pain Center accreditation for having the highest standards of heart attack care.

Our emergency services

All of our physicians are board certified and available 24/7, which means they have demonstrated mastery through rigorous testing.

All our ER staff members also participate in extensive ongoing training and are certified in specialized emergency methods. This includes pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Additionally, our ER nurses are certified by the Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). AirCare transportation

Our hospital can also arrange for appropriate transfer to a higher-level trauma care facility when needed. An AirCare helicopter ambulance is available 24/7, just minutes away at Brigham City Community Hospital’s sister hospital, Ogden Regional Medical Center.

Intermediate care

Our intermediate care unit (IMC) provides us with the capability to monitor patients by using the most up-to-date technology available. It is staffed 24/7 by professionals whose skills and education have been refined and focused in this type of care for several years. The IMC is capable of accommodating a variety of patients for observation, including those who are recovering from surgery, stroke or other illnesses and injuries.

Pediatric-friendly emergency care

With additional training in pediatrics, our ER specialists care for kids of all ages. This team also has the right equipment on hand to meet the unique needs of diagnosing and treating children. They understand a medical emergency can feel scary for a child or teenager, and their parents, too. That's why we do everything we can to make all of you feel as comfortable as possible.

Trauma care

Utah Department of Health's Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness, designated Brigham City Community Hospital as a Level IV Trauma Center. This designation recognizes our hospital’s efforts to better serve severely injured patients with high-quality trauma care. It means our ER staff and trauma-trained nurses can provide initial diagnostic and stabilization services for people with severe injuries. We can also deliver a variety of surgeries and critical care services for trauma patients as necessary.
